Gereja Hati Kudus (Church
of the Sacred Heart) is the largest Catholic church in Banda Aceh, located
right on the edge of the Krueng Aceh River. This colonial-style building
reflects a tropical architecture with its steeply pitched roof and vertical
sunshades. The church is still actively used by the Catholic
community.
