This building, of colonial
tropical architecture, has attractive fretwork and fascias. It withstood
the tsunami even though it is largely made of timber. Unfortunately the
beautifully landscaped garden was completely destroyed. The building is now
used as the house of Pangdam Bukit Barisan.
