About Cikgu Baha

Cikgu Baha was a teacher, performer, choreographer and producer of the Malay performing arts with over 25 years experience. Born in Singapore and later based in Penang, he was the foremost performing interpreter of Bangsawan, Boria and Ronggeng.

In 2005, he received the Penang Heritage Trust / HSBC 'Living Heritage Treasure' award from the late Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood.

Cikgu Baha played the role of the honorary Bibik when representing the State Chinese Penang Association in the annual Baba Conventions.
