Khoo Salma
Nasution
is based in Penang, Malaysia. Of Straits Chinese descent, she
has been installed into a clan of the Mandailing people of Sumatra.
She was the longest-serving Honorary Secretary of the Penang Heritage
Trust (14 years) and is now the main coordinator of Lestari Heritage
Network. She
is the author of several books on cultural heritage and local
history and was awarded the Asian Public Intellectual (API) Fellowship
by the Nippon Foundation.
