Aceh Heritage Trails and Photo Exhibition
Banda
Aceh Heritage Trail 2007 Program is part of a national event called
”Archipelago Trails 2007“, a series of heritage trails
in several parts of Indonesia including Banda Aceh City. This
recreational and educational activity will be held from 26 August
till 9 September 2007 in conjunction with the celebration of Indonesian
Independence Day on 17 August. It is hoped that this can become
a regular program in coming years, supported and participated
by the wider community.
This program consists of three main activities:

This event was organised by Aceh Heritage Community Foundation
and funded by the Aceh-Nias Rehabilitation and Reconstruction
Agency (BRR), with support and cooperation from the Aceh Museum,
Archeological Board, Aceh Documentation Center, Mapala Leuser,
Stichting Peutjut-Fonds, and other relevant parties, both institutions
and individuals. Special contributions from the private collection
of Lieutenant-Colonel (ret) R.J.Nix ret., Chairman Yayasan Peutjut
– Fonds, The Netherlands.
The
program is open to the public and meant for all sectors of community
including individuals, students, professionals, formal and non-formal
institutions, university, government, and so on.
