Aceh Heritage Community Foundation collaborates with Nara Machizukuri Centre and Asian Research Institute, National University of Singapore

AHCF Cultural Heritage Exchange Program with Nara Machizukuri in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, Feb 2007

Three members of Nara Machizukuri Center, an NPO (Non-Profit Incorporated association) that supports urban conservation activities in Asia, visited Aceh on 9-12 February 2007. They are Masahiro Muro (Chairman), Masafumi Fujino (Vice Chairman) and Tachio Nijukken (Vice Chairman).

Besides visiting some historic places and development areas of Banda Aceh and surroundings, they also shared their experience with the local heritage stakeholders. The workshop entitled /Workshop on Sharing Experience, Nara-Aceh 'Know-How of Urban Conservation, Community Participation, and Reconstruction Projects in Disaster Areas in Japan' was held by Aceh Heritage Community in Banda Aceh on 11 February 2007.
